If a woman could only own one item to prove her love for Lost—this might be it.

Made by Kate, a fan in Dorset, England, this bracelet contains more than a dozen silver-plated charms including s a fish (for Jacob to cook), a wheel (for turning back time), a guitar (in honor of Charlie), a spider (for biting people such as Paulo and Nikki) and a shovel (for burying people such as Paulo and Nikki).

Kate says the main steampunk piece used in the bracelet is a vintage Oris wristwatch with the dial set at 8:15.

This necklace was created by Lost fan Cassandra Watsham. It includes real airplane parts and the words “Jacob loves you” written on a coconut disc. Visit Cassandra’s blog where she describes her pieces in greater detail.

The Island 1-2The Island 4-1

“‘Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?’ the LORD says. ‘Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated.’” —Malachi 1:2-3

8 facts about Jacob:

  1. He speaks fluent Korean and Russian (among other languages?)
  2. He weaves a mean tapestry.
  3. He appreciates good literature.
  4. Christian Shephard is apparently allowed to speak on his behalf.
  5. He touches most of the characters he meets.
  6. He apologizes to most of the characters he meets.
  7. He likes to eat red herring.
  8. His nemesis spent more than a century trying to find a “loophole” to kill him—thus inspiring the name for this website.

Unlike the magic box Ben shows Locke, this box, designed by a Lost fan in Colorado, is a little too small for Anthony Cooper to fit into.

4 other box references in Lost:

  1. Hurley owned a box company.
  2. Locke used to work at that same box company.
  3. After Hurley tells Leonard he used the numbers, Leonard screams that Hurley has “opened the box.”
  4. Inside the Tempest station is a cabinet labeled “Box Maker.”

409952864v0_350x350_Front“There lies in the ocean an island which is called The Lost. In Charm and all kinds of fertility it far surpasses every other land, but it is unknown to men. Now and again it may be found by chance, but if one seeks it, it cannot be found and therefore it is called The Lost.” —Honorius of Autun, De Imagine Mundi, AD 1130

This quote from a popular 12th century theologian is included in a book that contains, among other things, a scheme for the operation of guardian angels.

This journal features a beautiful rendering of the quote in celebration of the fact that Lost has apparently been many centuries in the making.

A Quick Note Between Seasons

This is the perfect card to send to a fellow fan during the hiatus before season 6.

The card was designed by Agnes Barton-Sabo from Alaska.

4 books to read while Lost is on hiatus:

  1. The Stand. Why? Because Carlton Cuse said, “For both Damon and me Stephen King’s The Stand was the most influential model for Lost.”
  2. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Why? Because Damon Lindelof said, “To say there is only one [book that influenced Lost] is unfair, but we keep coming back to Alice and Wonderland thematically.”
  3. The Chronicles of Narnia. Why? Because Damon Lindelof said, “There will be many parallels, we feel, between that universe [Narnia] and the Lost universe when all is said and done.”
  4. Everything that Rises Must Converge. Why? Because Jacob read it.
